Hello FCC Shark Families!

Despite the chilly weather the past two mornings, we have had a great start to the practice sessions!  

I'm reaching out today with several pieces of information. Please take some time to read each section of this email as it shares a variety of information. Thank you, in advance, for reading it all!

Team Suits:

For anyone who still needs to be sized for a team suit or who needs to purchase a team suit, I will be at Camper's Practice on Thursday morning (6:45 am - 8 am) and I will be at Time Trials on Friday morning.  

We have some TYR team suits in stock and are awaiting a new order of our team suit in the Nike fit.  They are expected in by Friday this week.

I will let everyone know when the Nike suits have arrived, for those of you that already placed orders. 

Purchasing a team suit is optional.  Suit costs range from $50 - $75, depending on the size and suit type.

I've attached an image of how you can get to the website from the app. At the top of the home screen when you open the app, you will see an option to "Visit Website".  Once there, you can click on the tabs at the top of the screen if you prefer that way to navigate.

Volunteer Opportunities:

There are many ways to help our FCC swim season run smoothly!  While we will be tapping people to volunteer at our swim meets, there are a few specific roles we are  looking to fill.

Snack Bar Team - We are in search of a few parents to lead organizing our snack bar.  We have 3 meets where we are designated as the "home" team and we come prepared with food to sell at the snack bar.  This requires shopping, preparing ice/drinks in coolers the day of the meet (using FCC ice), transporting the food and setting up/breaking down the snack bar.  At the meet, we have other families run the snack bar as a volunteer job for the meet.

Meet Starter - We currently have a veteran swim parent who starts our meets, but he won't be with us for much longer!  We are looking to have a few people shadow and train with our current starter.  The meet starter announces the event and heat, prepares the swimmers and then gives the starting signal with a whistle and electronic starting device.

Time Trials Timers - On this Friday, June 20th, we will be having time trials starting at 8:00 am. In order to run time trials, we ideally need about 18 timers.  If you are able to stay at the pool from 8 - 10 am on Friday, please reply to this email and I will add your name to the timer list for Friday.
